Homemade Twister
Garden twister using coloured chalk spray
This is a wonderful way to improvise a game of Twister in the garden, without the need for a slippy plastic mat.
Step 1To create your Twister board, you first need to create your circle template. On a piece of card, draw around a plate and cut out the circle with a craft knife.
Step 2Choose an area in your garden or local park where you’re planning to play, position your template and spray four circles at equal distance in a line. Repeat the process so all four colours are lined up as per picture.
Step 3Instead of using a spinner, a handy alternative is to cut out some squares of cardboard and colour these in the same colour as your sprayed on circles. You then need to draw and cut out some feet and hands on the white paper, and stick these on your coloured card, making sure you have one of each type. Once the cards are ready put them in a hat for players to pull out.
Step 4That’s it you’re ready to play. The first player pulls out a card and puts their corresponding leg or hand on the indicated coloured circle. The next player takes their turn in the same way. The game plays on as players become more and more contorted in their positions. If you fall over, you’re out. The last person standing wins.
